Young Dancer warmer up at the barre
A pose often made by dancers of all levels. When they first come into the rehearsal room they will do a number of stretch exercises, standing, sitting (on the floor) and standing at the Barre.
Dedication! Being fit is the number one priority. I watched a performance by the ENB when a younger dancer obviously hurt herself but carried on till the end of the set. It was later announced that she had broken her ankle. So the rest of the performance was the usually chance for a new comer!!!
This is very small - possibly the smallest drawing I’ve ever done of the dancers: 6” x 5” painted using professional watercolours and a fine-line pen.
